Rolando Ochoa Tardiu, Accordionist, Composer and Producer, known today within the vallenato genre as 'R8' was born in Sincelejo (Sucre), on July 27, 1977, son of Calixto Ochoa Campo, one of the most versatile vallenato musicians, from whom he inherited his artistic talent. Throughout his successful career, he has produced a catalog of approximately 200 compositions plus 20 albums.  His unique style and HOHNER accordion, have sounded alongside great voices of the vallenato genre, such as: Martín Elías Díaz (RIP), Silvestre Dangond, Diomedes Díaz (RIP), Iván Villazon, among others. Currently, he leads his own musical band under the name of ZONA 8.
