On September 17, 2021 I provided a Hohner-sponsored Harmonikids session to a classroom of young children at the Boys and Girls Club of Magic Valley in Twin Falls, Idaho. It was a fun session full of excitement and enthusiasm. The kids giggled with joy and astonishment as I entertained them. Then each was thrilled as I gifted them Hohner harmonicas and Harmonikids music sheets and gently taught them to play favorite children's songs. As director Emily Salove shares in her thank you letter below, the Harmonikids session was “extremely beneficial” to the lives of these youth since many had ”not had the opportunity to play a musical instrument” and they couldn’t wait to share their new talent with their families.

"Thank you so much! We had a lot of children who continued to play the songs that they learned throughout the day, and when they were picked up, they ran excitedly up to their parents to show them what they had learned to do! A lot of the kids are still playing the songs at home. I know that some of the kids have not had the opportunity to play a musical instrument, so showing them that world and opening their eyes to an exciting extra curricular or even a future passion was extremely beneficial to them!"
